Covid-19: Earth taking a much needed break

The pandemic’s global death toll has reached almost 5,000, while the global number of cases has surpassed 132,000, according to the WHO, which is the health agency of the United Nations. About 68,000 victims have recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking the virus.The WHO declared the outbreak a pandemic.

Earth taking a much needed break. Some very busy public spaces looking empty during this global pandemic.

 

Saudi Arabia said it would suspend international flights for two weeks in response to the outbreak while New Zealand announced a mandatory two-week quarantine for anyone entering the country

 

Italy tightened its strict quarantine and the US imposed a ban on flights to Europe. The virus has spread to at least 18 countries on the African continent, with Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Guinea all confirming their first cases on Friday.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump declared a national emergency. The World Health Organization (WHO) meanwhile said Europe has now become the “epicentre” for COVID-19

 

A facebook page called The universal truth uploaded some recent photos of the most crowded places in the earth. The photos became viral in social medias.
